I actually have never seen Steins;Gate. I did about 5 minutes of research off of Kurisu's character sheet on TVTropes and wrote from there (picking up Daru's identity along the way). All of the illusory bullets he hit her with before made her flinch in momentary fear, but this was different. At that moment, she felt death in all of its horror.
